On Saturday evening last our Senior Footballers took on Ardfinnan in the South Semi Final. On a wet and windy evening, conditions were anything but favourable for a good game of football. It was poor viewing for most of the hour but Rovers had the lead from early in the game and manage to maintain it for the full hour. Final Score Moyle Rovers 0-10 Ardfinnan 0-6.

On Sunday evening last our attention was on the Minor Hurlers, after suffering a heavy defeat from Mullinahone earlier in the week. We were interested to see if this bunch of players could bounce back. Bounce back was exactly what they done. Despites Kilsheelan gaining the lead in the first half, in the Closing minutes Donal McGrath score a goal from long range to leave the half time score Moyle Rovers 1-5 Kilsheelan 1-7. A fantastic goal from Alec Owens early in the second half gained Rovers the lead for the first time, and a second goal quickly after from Conor Conneally. In the end Kilsheelan in the final minutes score a point from a sideline cut to level the game. Final Score Moyle Rovers 3-7 Kilsheelan 1-13.

We were well represented by our Moyle Rovers boys on the Tipperary underage Football teams as the weekend. Our U15 were defeated in their tournament but well done to Shane Lonergan & Brian Norris who were on the Panel. The U14 Football team had an “A” & “B” team out in the John Power tournament. Our representative on the “B” panel were Morgan Irwin, Tadgh Fitzgerald & David Roberts, unfortunately they didn’t win it out but well done boys. Congratulation to Danny Owens, Bill Johnston & Stephen Quirke who were part of the “A” Panel who won the John Power Tournament. Finally Well done to Ross Mulcahy, our only representative on the U16 team . Well done to all 9 Players for efforts at the weekend.

The club wishes Aidan Butler a speedy recovery after receiving a serious injury at the Hurling match over the weekend. Looking forward to seeing you back on the playing field Aidan.

Congratulations to Ian Browne & Stacy Lee on their Engagement. Wishing you both all the best for the Future.
