South U21 “A” Hurling Championship

Congratulations to Moyle Rovers U10 “A” team who won Group 1 of the South Tipperary Bord na nOg’s Annual U10 Football Tournament in a wet and windy Monroe last Saturday. Captained by Harry Phelan of Lisronagh the boys played great attacking football to win this competition for the second year in a row. A remarkable achievement given that the team were missing probably their strongest scoring forward on the day. This team has had a great year in football so well done lads and keep up the good work. Our “B” team also played in group 4 and played well against stronger opposition to record one victory so well done to this bunch of boys aswell.

On Wednesday night last our Junior B Footballers had their first round in the Championship against Killenaule. With some of the younger side of the team missing due to exams, we had limited amount of players on the night. With a great team performance on the night, we came away with a victory Moyle Rovers 0-12 Killenaule 0-6.

Our Intermediate Footballers took on Mullinahone on Saturday night last were not as successful. In a closely contested game between these two sides. We were defeated by Mullinahone by a single point. Moyle Rovers 0-11 Mullinahone 0-12


Congratulations to Brian Norris & Shane Luttrell on winning theU16 ½ Munster Junior “B” Hurling Final with Scoil Ruain, Killenaule Recently against Kanturk.


Congratulations to Declan Ryan and the Tipperary Senior Hurlers on defeating Clare in the Munster Semi Final last Sunday . Congratulations to Sean Carey who is part of the Panel. Best of Luck against Waterford in the Munster Final.


Our under 12s hosted the latest round of Go Games held in Monroe last Thursday evening. Our first game was against Carrick and the game finished level on one score each. The next game was against Cahir and Cahir won this game by two scores to one. The girls preformed extremely well on the night in both games. It was very encouraging to see our younger players show great skill and determination. Our team on the night was Emma Tobin, Rowena Dowling, Rachael Browne, Sarah O'Dwyer, Emma Cronin, Jenny Everard, Eimer Ryan, Aine Fitzgerald, Sophie Delaney, Leah McGarry, Kelly Ryan. Well done to Manager Mairaid Kelly .Training has resumed for Under 14s and under 16s in Monroe at 6.00pm every Friday
