Friday 22nd April
Senior Football Championship
Moyle Rovers V Kilsheelan/Kilcash in Clonmel at 6.30pm

On Wednesday night last our U21 took on Loughmore in the County
Football Semi Final. It was a lovely sunny evening in Littleton.  Jack
Lonergan opened the scoring while Brian Smith quickly added a second
but Loughmore replied with 1-1 from here on, our boys looked to be
chancing the game.  Loughmore continued to dominate in the first half.
Half time score Moyle Rovers 1-4 Loughmore 2-5.  Our players battle
hard in the second half and a fantastic goal from Liam boland in the
closing minutes of the games left 2 points between the sides but
Loughmore finished strong scoring 1-1.    Final Score Moyle Rovers
2-10 Loughmore 4-10.

Our Seniors travelled to Tipp town to play Arravale Rovers in the
County Football league.  Final Score Moyle Rovers 0-7 Arravale Rovers

Our U14 defeated Carrick Swan in the South Feile Final Score  Moyle
Rovers 4-05 Carrick Swan 1-8.  This now put us throught to the Semi

Our Under 8 have Football training Tuesday night 6.45-8pm, and hurling
training Friday night 6.45-8pm.  Both night training will be outdoor
weather permitting

Pride of place this week goes to the U16 Moyle Rovers/St.Mary's team
who opened their league campaign against Newport last Sunday. This was
a great game of camogie with no quarter asked or given. Our girls
playing together for the first time gelled very well and they put
under instant pressure against a very strong Newport side. Playing
against a slight breeze we were 0-2 to 1-2 behind at half time. The
second half saw the combination hit a high patch of hurling and
produced some excellent scores to go four points ahead mid way through
the second half. However Newport weren't done yet and they came back
to sneak ahead by one point at the finish. It was a cruel result for
the girls who hurled their hearts out. The final score was 2-5 to 2-6.
They can be very proud of the game they played and the determination
and commitment they showed on the field of play. They done camogie in
South Tipperary proud and they continue to play like this success is
not far away.
Training. Training continues for all age groups in Munroe on Friday
evenings at 6.00pm. Thanks to all the trainers and volunteers who make
Friday evening so special for many Children wanting to play camogie.
Junior. Our Junior team are due to play Fethard this week end at Home.

The Moyle Rovers girls Under 14's get their championship campaign
under way against Cahir on Sunday next at 12.00 noon in Monroe.
Every best wish to the girls in what will be a very competitive
championship this year.

The Under 16 girls are due to play their first match in their
championship within the next fortnight with their first outing also
against Cahir. Hopes are very high for County success this year with
this group of girls who have the biggest representation on the
Tipperary County panel this year and who will be favoured to go far in
2011 in a championship where the other team in their group is Thurles
Sarsfields. In Group 2 the teams are Clonmel Commercials , Brian Borus
and Templemore.
