U12 Girls County Champions for the second year in a row

Junior “B” Football South Championship

Moyle Rovers V Commercials in Kilsheelan at 8pm


On Sunday morning our Hurlers took on Cahir in the Intermediate South Championship. We were playing against the wind in the first half but managed to stay in touch with Cahir Half time Score Moyle Rovers 0-6 Cahir 0-8. Despite the wind at our back in the second half Goal from Martin Dunne along with points from Sean Keating, Sean Carey Ciaran Lorigan & Ronan Desmond were not enough, 1-2 scored by Cahir in the last 10 minutes gave them the win by a single point. Final Score Moyle Rovers 1-12 Cahir 1-13.

Both our U14 Hurling team had their first outing in the Championship on Monday night last. Our 14 “A” team had a great win over St Mary’s while our “B” team were not as successful despite their best efforts. Well done to both teams.


On Thursday next our U14 Footballers are heading to Cork to represent Tipperary in the Feile na Peil all Ireland Competition for 2011. This bunch on players have given us such an enjoyable year already and we are only in June. So best of luck to all the Boys and we hope you all have a very enjoyable weekend.

Last Tuesday Night in Bansha ,Our U12s played Lattin-Cullen in the 12A County Final ,Right from the Whistle our Girls began to dominate this game, After some early wide’s ,Points from the Energetic Jenny Everard and Persistent Rachel Timlin settled us down, A 45 by Kirsty Crotty Ryan sailed over the bar and RJ Browne added a peach of a point, Kirsty then sent a 45 all the way to the back of the net, RJ Browne then added another goal ,and right from the Kick out Orla O Donnell intercepted and scored a lovely goal, Points from Chloe Boland and Kirsty Crotty Ryan sent our girls in at half time 3-6 to 0-0 .In the second half Lattin came out with all guns blazing and scored 2-2 until Orla O Donnell and Kirsty Crotty Ryan added two goals to settle us down again and close out the game, Joint Captains Chloe Boland & Kirsty Crotty Ryan received the County Title, and great celebrations were had afterwards, Great credit must go to Helen Cronin, Paudie Everard and Mark Ryan for a wonderful job in bringing off the "2 in a Row" . On the day Aine Fitzgerald and Emma Cronin were rock solid in Defence Chloe Boland and Orla Burke worked tirelessly in midfield, and Orla O Donnell and RJ Browne were awesome in the forwards. A note for your Diary next Friday the 1st of July @ 7pm in Monroe ,The U12S will play there Parents in a fundraiser for there up and coming trip. Well done to all.
