Senior Football South Semi Final
Moyle Rovers V Ardfinnan in Cahir at 7pm

Our Minors hurlers took on St Marys in the first round of the south championship. Despite St Marys building what looked like a comprehensive lead, our boys battled hard until the very end and came within a single point. Final Score Moyle Rovers 2-10 St Marys 2-11

Powerstown/Lisronagh had a busy weekend and the Munster Community Games final in University of Limerick. First up were the U11 Rugby team, who despite a great game were defeated. Next up was the U16 Girls hockey. They girls were able to hold their own out field but unfortunately there were unable to get the goals and were also defeated. Finally we had our U16 basketball boys, who played Kilmallock, Limerick in the Munster Semi Final. After a tough game on basketball our boys won their way into the Munster Final. The boys had strong opponents in the Final Spa Barrow Fenit of Kerry. Despite the boys best effort the were defeated by the better team on the day. Well done to all those who were representing Powerstown/Lisronagh on Saturday last. An enjoyable day was had by all the participants

We had a very quiet week on the playing fields last week. Our under 14s received a walk over from Borrisleigh in the summer league. Well done to Powerstown Lisronagh Hockey team who contested the Munster Final Community Games under 16 hockey. As Hockey is a closely related stick game the team contained a lot of our camogie players . They fought very hard but had to give way to a very strong Limerick Regional team. Training every Friday evening at 6.00pm in Monroe.
