COMMUNITY GAMES

Congratulation to our U16 Girls indoor soccer team, who participated
in the Munster Final on Saturday last in University of Limerick   The
girls played extremely well on the day, the won their quarter final &
semi Final but much to the girls disappointment they were defeated 1-0
in the final.  Despite the girls disappointment on the day, the girls
got  great enjoyment in meeting Munster & Ireland Rugby star Paul
O’Connell.  The panel of players were: Leanne Ryan, Hazel Shanahan,
Michelle McMeel, Everena Everard, Megan Shanahan, Aoife Power, Sarah
McDermot & Cliona Collins. Well done to the girls and their manager
Olivia Shanahan.

CAMOGIE

Training continues for all ages on Friday evening at 6.00pm. New
members always welcome. Our under 16 combination team are due to play
the opening game Vs Newport this week end. Congratulations and good
luck to Daniella Di Ruzza who was elected captain and to Betty Barlow
who was elected vice captain.
Junior Team. Our Junior team opened their league campaign last
Saturday evening against old rivals Boherlahan. We were 2-5 to no
score down after 15 minutes. . Lack of match practice and trainig was
evident. Our girls began to play better and came back into the game
and we eventually lost by 4 points on a scoreline of 2-16 to 5-3. Well
done girls on a brave fight back from a nearly impossible situation.
Our next game is a home game vs Fethard week end of April 9th.
