Under 14s Win County Final.
Our under 14s produced a tremendous display of football to capture the Under 14 A county final on Bank Holiday Monday. Playing against old rivals Cahir,  in the picturesque village of Goatenbridge, this game was a great contest worthy of a county final. The large crowd got value for money as both sides were level heading into injury time after a tremendous tussle.Scores were hard to come by for both sides as defenses were well marshaled on both teams. In the end Moyle Rovers emerged victorious by a single point on a scoreline 1-5 to 0-7.The critical scores came for Moyle Rovers at the end of both halves Just before half time  they scored a great goal to give them a one point lead 1-2 to 0-4, and again, with the last kick from play at the end of the game, they  clinched victory with an excellent point after the ball was recycled many times until a scoring opportunity opened up.Joint Captains Evrena Everard and Deirbhile Fitzgearld  accepted the cup on behalf of a very excited and delighted   Moyle Rovers team and followers Great credit is due to the panel for their dedication to training over the last few months. The management team of Mark Ryan,Helen Cronin and Karen Fitzgearld deserrve great praise for the tremendous amount of work they have put into getting the team ready. They were helped along the way by Ronan Desmond, Edmund Burke,Liam Cronin, Aaron Kelly and Ian Browne.Sharon Crotty was  the  first aid leader. Now its on to the Feile competition where the team will attempt to complete a hat trick of titles for the year. We wish them the very best of luck.

Camogie
Our U12 team participated in the U12 Go Games blitz hosted by our near neighbours St. Mary's. Our first two games were against Carrick Swans and Brian Borus which were very close matches and our girls worked hard to the end. Fethard and St Mary's were the opposition for our last two games in which we came out on top . As we had a panel of 17 players the girls were rotated throughout the four games. Our team was Yasmin Quirke, Clare O'Dwyer, Karen Meehan, Leah Mc Garry, Sophie Delaney, Shauna Fee, Erin Mitten, Amy Norris, Louise Norris, Meghan Eastwood, Sarah Hickey, Sarah Clarke, Eve Ryan, Lucy Whyte, Emma Cronin, Áine Fitzgerald and Emer Ryan. Many thanks to Anne Mc Garry and John Ryan who work with these girls. Well done to all on great teamwork, commitment and participation. Our under 14s are due to begin thier league campaign this week with a game vs Carrick Swans.
