RESULTS

Our Senior took on Cahir on Monday night 28th March.  We got off to a
great start with a point from Declan Browne, cahir quickly replied
with a point.  Declan went on to score a further 1-3, while Peter
Acheson added his name to Rover tally with a point, while Cahir only
managed to score another 4 points in the first half to leave the half
time score Moyle Rovers 2-5 Cahir 0-5.  Brian Mulvihill opened the
scoring in the second half with a point seconds from the throw in.
Substitute Ciaran Kenrick came on to add a further point to Moyle
Rovers scoring.  Cahir scored three unanswered point  while Declan
Browne and Ciaran Kenrick added 2 final points.  Final Score Moyle
Rovers 2-9 Cahir 0-8.

Our Minors took on Commercial on Saturday evening last as alway a
tough competitive games between these two team.  Despite horrible
weather on the evening, the half time score was Moyle Rovers 1-2
Commercials 1-6. After an unfortunate goal in the final minutes of the
second half our panel were defeated on a scoreline of Moyle Rovers
Commercials


Our U14 team took on Ballingarry in the Feile peil Semi Final on
Saturday night last, and after a great game of football they had a
very comprehensive win on a final scoreline of Moyle Rovers 5-10
toBallingarrys 0-1. On Sunday Evening last their opponents in the
South Feile Peil Final was Commercial, and after a great game our boys
were victorious on a scoreline of Moyle Rovers 1- 7 Commercials 1-5.

Friday night last saw the beginning of our U12 games for 2011.  With
Three teams this year, we had Team 1 & 2 travelled to Cahir, while
Team 3 took on Newcastle in Newcastle in group 4. In extremely windy
conditions on the night, All three team were victorious on the night,
which got us off to a great start to the year.

Our Intermediate hurlers had a great win over Galtee Rovers in the
County League on a scoreline of Moyle Rovers 1-12 Galtee Rovers 0-11.

MONROE DEVELOPMENT

Monroe Development Committe are holding their Annual General Meeting
on next Monday 11th April in Monroe Complex at 9pm.




A Date for your Diary!
Table Quiz (in aid of Powerstown National School Parents' Council)
will be held in the Halfway House on Friday the 8th of April,
commencing at 9.00pm sharp, cost: €20 per table.  A great nights
entertainment with spot prizes galore! Come along and join the fun!

Loreto Secondary School

Congratulations to the Loreto Senior Football team on reaching the All
Ireland Senior School C Final on Saturday next against, where they
will play Carrickmacross of Monaghan.  On the panel from Moyle Rovers
are Yvonne Maher, Niamh Foley, Lisa Kirby, Elaine Butler, Gemma O
Dwyer, Hazel Shanahan, Hazel Boland, Sarah Everard, Orlaith Ryan,
Daniella de Ruzza, Leane Ryan & Laura Grace.  Best of Luck to the
Girls on the 9th.
