U21”A” South Championship Semi Final
Moyle Rovers V Cahir in Ardfinnan at 2pm

Sunday 20th February
Adult Football League Premier Division
Moyle Rovers V Cahir in Monroe at 2-30pm

On Saturday afternoon last our U21 got 2011 underway with the first
round of the South Championship against Clonmel Commercials.   Opening
goals from David McGrath and Craig Condon got us the start we needed,
Liam Boland Continued to add the points on to leave the Half time
score Moyle Rovers 2-6 Commercial 1-3.  David McGrath started the
second half with another goal and Liam Carey added another goal.
Despite Commercials battling hard and coming back within 5 points of
this Rovers side, points from Peter Acheson and Shane Foley gave us a
comfortable lead in the end.  Final Score Moyle Rovers 4-10
Commercials 2-9.

Commiserations to Sean Carey who was part of the Tipperary Senior
Hurling Panel who were defeated by Kilkenny in the First round of the
League on Saturday night last  under light in Semple Stadium.

Congratulations to our 5 club men who have been nominated for a
Nationalist Award.  Peter Acheson, Brian Mulvihill, Sean Carey, Martin
Dunne & Liam Boland.  Well done and best of Luck for the awards.  The
Club is very proud of all  5 players.


U6: Training for Under 6’s take place on Saturday Mornings in From
10am to 11am in Monroe Sports complex. All newcomers are welcome.
U8: No training this Friday 18th February, but training will resume on
Friday 25th Feb 6-45pm to 7-45pm, all newcomers are welcome.
U10: No training this Friday 18th February in Monroe.


Our U10 played an indoor hurling match against Cahir on Friday night
last in Monroe sports complex.  Well done to all the kids a great game
of hurling and thanks to all who helped organise it and a Big Thanks
to Cahir for coming to Monroe to play us.

Our U12  panel had an enjoyable Saturday evening, last weekend.  It
started with an early training session with some expert coaches!! Then
after they finished training and had a bit to eat they loaded up on
the bus and headed to Semple stadium to see Tipperary Senior Hurling
take on Kilkenny  in the first round of the league.  Despite Kilkenny
wining the game, Tipp still have the Liam McCarthy Cup and the Boys
had a very enjoyable evening.  Thanks to the coaches and all who help
to organise this outing.


Membership is now due for all players and mentors.  Juvenile €20,
Minor, U21 & €40 Adults €50. Please pay membership as soon as

The sympathies of the club go to Patricia Lawler and family on the
recent death of her Father.  May he rest in Peace.

Registrations: The Camogie club will hold a registration morning in
Moyle Rovers next Saturday (19th) at 11.30 am . Come along and meet
the officers of the club, hear our plans for the year and register
your child to play Camogie for 2011. Registration fee is €20 and
covers Insurance for the year.

Bag Pack: The Camogie club held a very successful bag pack last
weekend in Dunnes Stores Davis Road. Thanks to Dunnes for the
opportunity, Thanks to our Great volunteers’ for manning the checkouts
and thanks to public for being ever generous to our club.
County Trials: We have three girls attending County under 14 trials at
the moment, Shania Dowling, Everena Everard and Michelle McMeel. Best
of luck girls in the remaining trials.

Underage County Panels: Congratulations to the following girls who
have been chosen on the Tipperary panels for forthcoming 'B'
