Intermediate Hurling South Championship Grangemockler/Ballyneale V Moyle Rovers

On Sunday evening last Grangemockler/Ballyneale took on Moyle Rovers in the Martins Fruit & Veg Intermediate Hurling Championship, in what turned out to be a very one sided affair. Despite the grangemockler side getting off to the better start with a great goal from Peter Downey, they only scored a further 5 point in the first half by Tom Kennedy & Peter Downey. The Moyle Rovers scored were a little more widespread throughout the side with points from Sean Carey, Declan Browne, Denis McGrath, Diarmuid Foley and their two first half goals scored by Declan Browne & Sean Carey. The half time score was Moyle Rovers 2-10 Grangemockler/Ballyneale 1-5. The Second half was to be very similar to the first. Grangemocklers only scorers in the second half were Peter Downey & Gerry Long with a point each. While the Moyle Rovers scorers were limited to just two players aswell, Declan Browne scoring 0-9 while Substitute Ciaran Lorigan scoring 1-2. Final Score Moyle Rovers 3-21 Grangemockler 1-7.
