On a wet & windy Saturday evening Ballyporeen took on Moyle Rovers in
the Clonmel Credit Union South Intermediate Football Championship.
Moyle Rovers looked like they were heading for an easy win over
Ballyporeen but a second half rally brought Ballyporeen right back
into the game.  Unfortunately it just wasn’t enough on the night.

James Williams opened the scoring with a point for Moyle Rovers, but
Dave Hyland responded with a point.   Anthony Burke & Padraig Foley
scored a point each for the rovers side before Conor Sweeney replied
with a point.   This was to be the last of Ballyporeen scores in the
first half.  James William added two points from free while Anthony
burke added a goal.  Shane Foley & James William finished the half
with a point each to leave the half time score Moyle Rovers 1-7
Ballyporeen 0-2.    This was definitely a game of two halves.  The
Rovers men only managed to score four points in the second half,
scored by Antony Burke, James William & Shane Foley.  Ballyporeen
battled hard in the second half with points from Conor Sweeney & Dave
Hyland, while Paul O Gorman scored 1-1.  Unfortunately for Ballyporeen
they conceded too many scores in the first half.  Final Score Moyle
Rovers 1-11 Ballyporeen 1-6.
